About

I’m an author from South Devon, represented by the Andrew Nurnberg agency. You can visit my author page here.

I grew up by the beach and I’ve always loved to read and write. I studied English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Warwick and I then completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Falmouth.

After working in London, I moved to Switzerland for several years, developing a love for the mountains, before returning to the UK to work in PR for a multinational company. I eventually made the move back to Devon and have been writing ever since.

My short fiction has been published in magazines including Mslexia and Litro and has been shortlisted and longlisted for several prizes including the Bristol Short Story Prize and the Mslexia Short Story Competition. My short stories have also been regularly published in various women’s magazines. I’m currently working on my first novel.

I live in Torbay in South Devon with my husband and two daughters and two feisty female cats. When I’m not writing, I enjoy eating chocolate (in every form) and spending many, many hours at our beach hut, which my family use as a base for our adventures – swimming, kayaking and rock pooling (though my daughter catches more crabs than me…)

I am also mad about the mountains, and spend as much time as I can in the Alps.

This site is my journal –  a place to capture my adventures, and share the things that catch my eye. I’ll be sharing my favourite quotes, photographs, books and more…
